Trust GXT 590 Bosi
Trust GXT 590 Bosi is a wireless gamepad that impresses with beautiful design and wide functionality.
What is Trust GXT 590 Bosi ?
Trust calls it “Bluetooth gamepad for Windows and Android; with integrated smartphone holders to enjoy mobile gaming everywhere,” but Trust GXT 590 Bosi is so much more…
The design and layout of the buttons is like an X-box controller, which makes it extremely comfortable to play. Its shape fits very well in the hands and allows for longer gameplay. Although the body is made of plastic you can feel the high quality of the workmanship. The buttons when pressed feel soft and comfortable without unnecessary clicking noise. The controller has 13 responsive buttons, 2 of which are pressure-sensitive triggers and two analog joysticks. The model can be used wirelessly with computers by using the USB receiver included in the package, with laptops by using the receiver or Bluetooth connectivity and to mobile phones / tablets and smart TV by connecting to them via Bluetooth. For those of you who enjoy playing Android games there is a pretty well hidden integrated stand for mobile phones, with which allows you to attach an Android device up to 6.8 inches directly to the gamepad even ticker phones like my Ulefone Armor 13 stayed perfectly into place. It has a rechargeable battery with a playtime of about 30 hours after a full charge. If you forget to charge it and find yourself low on battery in the middle of the game, you can continue playing by plugging in the power cord. You can alternate between the two most popular input standards: X-input and direct input, so that your game pad supports all games. For the best compatibility, it is recommended to use the gamepad with the included USB receiver.
How to connect Trust GXT 590 Bosi?
Connecting is pretty easy – hold Home + A for Android Devices until you see the green light flashing and connect it like every other Bluetooth device by going into your Bluetooth settings and selecting followed by clicking Pair. For Windows, you have to hold Home + X for X input until the blue light starts flashing and Home + B for D input until the green and blue light start , it will connect automatically with the USB receiver that needs to be plugged in first . In case you forget how trust has been written down on the Gamepad itself, it can be found when you open the phone stand.
Using Trust GXT 590 Bosi to play games that doesn't Support Controller.
Not every game is supporting controllers so some of the games will require additional software to map the buttons with the controller. There are many applications in the Play Store that have this functionality, but I’m personally using Mantis Gamepad Pro Beta. The application is free and works with major games like Genshin Impact, PUBG, CODM, World War Heroes, Pokemon Unite, Wild Rift, etc. , and it doesn’t require Root like most of the apps out there. I had some problems with connecting it to Android 11 (how I fixed it can be found here ) and couldn’t get it working on mobile data because it required wireless for the wireless debugging you need to have enabled in order to get it to work, but besides that it works very well and is easy to setup inside the game.
Overview of Wireless Game Controller Trust GXT590 Bosi.
All in all the game controller is pretty good money/ quality wise and the fact that it can be used for Windows and Android games makes it even more valuable. I have another Trust controller (Trust Yula GXT 540) that I was very happy with but unfortunately after less than 15 hours of gameplay but after the warranty period the left stick got broken with no which makes me a bit biased, but IF we decide to call the stick braking an accident / defective model / bad luck on my side I can recommend this as pretty good choice for budget controller that works with both Android and Windows devices.
P.S.: I’ll be testing it and writing a follow-up on the durability and if this one breaks after so little time of gameplay, but this time I’ll not wait for the warranty to be over to start using it 😀
